Late Reflections is a constantly evolving blog and content aggregator. In it’s first iteration, it concerned itself primarily with Acoustic Ecology – the video below provides a brief introduction. But the blog morphed and warped and followed the trajectory of my Masters research. The content is now still firmly within the domain of Acoustic Ecology but now there’s a more specific focus – the intersection of sound art and sound science. You’ll see this reflected in recent posts. I hope you enjoy your time here. Feel free to visit anytime!
And a little about the author.
I’m Joey. That’s me freaking out inside a hide in the pic below. I run this blog as part of a Masters of Science Communication at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand. I’m specialising in natural history filmmaking but I’m also passionate about ambient music, sound design, field recording and acoustic ecology. When I’m not filming, blogging, eating or sleeping I create music under the moniker Solla Sollew. Occasionally I also interact with other humans so come and say hi at the Solla Sollew blog and listen to some of my music while you’re there.
